Two Different Worlds

A 50’s popular song crooned “we live in two different worlds”, although it was about a romance between persons of different social classes, the lyric certainly describes our partisan political landscape.

The Trump presidency has been defined by extreme partisanship and the Kavanaugh hearings of the last couple of days have only sharpened that divide.

What world do you want to live in? Do you want to live in Trump’s world? Or do you want to live in a world where Leslie Cockburn and her fellow Democrats work to reverse the growing inequality in our economy and give millions of working Americans a raise; where we move away from a carbon economy to mitigate the worst effects of a warming planet and create new jobs and new industries; where we celebrate the diversity of all Americans and what they contribute even the undocumented; where we listen to women about the pervasiveness of sexual violence. It’s time to choose and vote.
