NCDC MEETING AND "HIT THE GROUND RUNNING" PUBLIC WORKSHOPS

 Nelson County Democrats are committed to turning Virginia blue in state elections and to fighting back against the current administration. So if you're as motivated as we are -- and we know you're out there -- please join us for a regular business meeting and "Hit the Ground Running" public workshops on June 2 at 7 p.m. at the Faber Firehouse. With public participation, we'll launch and organize several NCDC 2025 volunteer initiatives that night. 

 Also see the attached meeting agenda along with information about a proposal regarding NCDC endorsement of independent candidates. And please note: We'll be skipping the potluck this time around. 

 WORKSHOPS

The success of "Hit the Ground Running" will depend on Nelson residents choosing what's most important to them and getting down to work (details will be provided at the meeting). We literally can't do it without you. Here are the workshops: 

 1. Talking to Strangers. From small get-togethers to canvassing, this group will focus on reaching voters. 

2. We Love a Parade! Practice your wave, because NCDC will be back in the Nelson County Fourth of July Parade this year. 

3. GOP Accountability. If you're longing to put pressure on our congressman and state delegate from the 53rd district, this group is for you. 

4. Assisting Immigrants. Those who are suffering the most under Trump deserve our best. Let's focus on how NCDC can help. 

5. Local Protests. For anyone who's ever wondered if Nelson would hold its own protest against Trump, we want to make this happen.

6. Having Fun. Planners and organizers are needed for family-oriented events as well as our annual DemFest.
