Nelson Voter Information

The Nov. 3 ballot includes a proposed 1% sales tax for school construction and renovation projects in Nelson County (learn more).

Early in-person voting continues on weekdays through Oct. 30 (except Oct. 12) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nelson County Registrar’s Office, 571 Front St., Lovingston, and on the following weekend days:

  • Oct. 18 (Sunday) – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Oct. 24 (Saturday) – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Oct. 25 (Sunday) – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Oct. 31 (Saturday) – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (This is the last day to vote early in-person)

  • Oct. 23 (by 5 p.m.) – Last day to request that a ballot be mailed to you.

  • Oct. 23 – Last day to register or update your address to vote a regular ballot for the election. Voters may register in person after Oct. 23, through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot.

  • Nov. 3 (Election Day) – Vote at your polling place. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
